About me
Trish is in her 18th year of teaching and has been actively integrating mental health awareness and education into her school's philosophy and practice for the past four years; having completed her Master of Educational Leadership with a focus in Mental Health, her areas of specialty include preventing teacher burnout and crisis response. Her focus is on improving student mental health and combatting the stigmas surrounding topics such as suicide, self-harm, depression, addiction, and anxiety. Trish is well acquainted with the effects of mental illness through both work and personal experiences. Her goal is to create open and honest discussion between students and staff as well as equip teachers with the knowledge required to appropriately address mental health issues in their own classrooms.
