Bravely connecting with parents goes beyond problem-solving; it builds trust and fosters a shared sense of purpose. When educators and parents work together with open communication and mutual respect, they form a united front that empowers students to thrive academically and emotionally. The problem is that working with parents can be tricky. In this session, teachers and administrators will learn 4 key communication skills to disarm heated discussions, reach resolutions, and create a collaborative approach to supporting students' academic success. Bravely connecting with parents goes beyond problem-solving; it builds trust and fosters a shared sense of purpose. When educators and parents work together with open communication and mutual respect, they form a united front that empowers students to thrive academically and emotionally. This session emphasizes the importance of bridging the gap between home and school by fostering empathy, listening without defensiveness, and effective problem solving. These skills not only defuse conflict but also strengthen the relationships that create a supportive, resilient learning environment for every child.
