About me
Denise Lemay-Moore, an elementary teacher with 30+ years of teaching experience in Calgary and Edmonton, has developed a Media Literacy curriculum website based on the new ELAL outcomes for elementary classrooms. Having recently completed her masters in Educational Technology and Design through the University of Saskatchewan (2023), Mrs. Lemay-Moore recognizes that all students should receive Media Literacy education starting in elementary school. As the new curriculum has moved to the use of online educational platforms and students are using media and technology for learning, they need skills specific to media and technology, enabling them to manage their digital learning successfully. Mrs. Lemay-Moore is actively promoting Media Literacy education by speaking to Alberta teachers and sharing her resources and support.
