About me
Michele is the executive director of the Alberta Assessment Consortium (AAC). AAC is a recognized leader in the area of fair and equitable assessment in the province of Alberta. AAC operates under four assessment purposes as directed by Alberta School Jurisdictions across the province. The four purposes are to: 1) Advocate for sound classroom assessment practices within the province 2) Contribute to the building of assessment literacy in Alberta 3) Develop a broad range of classroom assessment materials directly aligned to the Alberta curriculum that addresses formative and summative processes. 4) Enhance teacher/leader assessment capacity by providing opportunities for quality professional learning. With the high degree of familiarity Michele has with the curriculum development process in Alberta, she’s very well prepared to support sound assessment practice in the context of current and future curriculum implementation.
